The works translate moods and sensations into forms suspended between stability and precariousness, crossed by rain as an emotional element. L’opera rappresenta la necessità dell’essere umano di limitare se stesso affinché l’ecosistema possa ritrovare il proprio equilibrio.The work represents humanity’s need to restrain itself so that the ecosystem can regain its balance.
La camicia di forza simboleggia questa autocostrizione: le sette cinture centrali rappresentano i continenti, mentre le tre sui tentacoli identificano i ceti sociali, coinvolgendo l’intera umanità in una responsabilità collettiva.The straitjacket symbolizes this self-restraint: the seven central belts represent the continents, while the three on the tentacles identify the social classes, involving all of humanity in a collective responsibility.
La schiuma poliuretanica, semplicemente verniciata, rappresenta la vita e la sua fragilità. Con il passare del tempo si degraderà, lasciando soltanto la camicia di forza.The polyurethane foam, simply painted, represents life and its fragility. Over time it will degrade, leaving only the straitjacket.
Il deterioramento diventa così parte integrante dell’opera, una metafora del tempo, della scomparsa della vita e della necessità di porre un limite all’azione umana.Deterioration thus becomes an integral part of the work, a metaphor for time, for the disappearance of life and for the need to set a limit to human action.
